This is the view from my window at home in Liverpool. I lowered the exposure on my camera a few clicks and the results were pretty spectacular. Given that this was my first attempt at taking shots of sunsets/sunrises I'm pretty happy with it! Let me know what you think...

The colors are really beautiful. You said this is from your window but it looks like you were low to the ground shooting through shrubs, makes for a nice effect with the silhouettes in the foreground.
